A small, intimate women’s circle gathering in Aljezur, in the heart of the Algarve. A space to slow down, return to your body, and be held by the quiet presence of other women with no agenda other than to arrive, exactly as you are.
In a women’s circle in Portugal, something slows down. A different kind of listening becomes possible.
If something in you resonates, you are welcome to reach out at any point.
You can simply send a message and ask anything that feels alive for you.
A women’s circle is not a course, and it is not group therapy. It doesn’t follow a curriculum or ask you to perform growth. It is simply a gathering: women sitting together, in presence, with the intention of listening deeply: to each other, and to themselves.
This is an ancient form of meeting. Before we had clinics and coaching programmes, women gathered. Around fires, under the moon, in the spaces between. Something in us still remembers this.
A women’s circle in the Algarve, held in a small group at the edge of the Atlantic, carries that same thread, brought gently into the present.
We sit in a circle. There may be candles, something beautiful placed in the centre (flowers, stones, whatever the season offers). We open with a moment of stillness.
From there, the circle breathes. There is space to share, or to simply sit. Guided moments of embodiment may weave through: an invitation to feel the breath, to sense the body, to notice what is present without needing to explain it.
Sometimes we follow the lunar cycle. The full moon ceremony is a natural moment of gathering, of releasing, of witnessing the month that passed. Sometimes the circle holds a particular theme. Always, there is space for the unexpected and the unplanned.
You leave carrying something, though you may not be able to name it immediately.
This space is also gently connected to the feminine cycle and the natural rhythms of the body. Not as something to analyse, but as something to feel and begin to trust again.
The circle is kept small, never more than a handful of women. This is not incidental. Intimacy requires space, and space requires limits. When a circle is small, something different becomes possible: the kind of presence that is rare, and the kind of listening that actually lands.
There is no right way to be here. You do not need to be spiritual, or healed, or eloquent. You do not need to share. What is spoken in the circle remains in the circle.
Galya has been working with women for over 25 years: through womb healing, ceremonial work, and the quiet art of holding space. Her approach is unhurried and embodied.
Her work is rooted in traditions of womb wisdom, feminine cycle awareness, and somatic healing. She trained with shamanic teachers in Ecuador and has carried this work through Israel and now into the Algarve, where she lives and gathers with women in Aljezur, Portugal.
The process has guided many women over the years, both in physical spaces and online, and opens here as a small and intimate group.
The gatherings take place in Aljezur, a small and ancient village on the wild southwest coast of Portugal. This corner of the world has a particular quality to it: unhurried, undeveloped, close to the Atlantic. The light is different here. So is the quiet.
Women travelling to join a women's circle in the Algarve often find that the land itself becomes part of the experience. The cork oaks, the river, the coast nearby. They hold something too.
Many women find their way to a women’s circle Algarve experience while travelling or living in this region.

A small and intimate circle
An intimate space where you only need to be yourself. To listen, to remember, and to meet deeper layers within you.
There are ongoing gatherings in Aljezur: both open women’s circles in the Algarve and more intimate processes for smaller groups. The best way to find what is right for you is simply to ask.
I also hold small online spaces in Hebrew for women who feel drawn to this work from afar. If you are reading this from elsewhere and something in you resonates, you are very welcome to reach out.
